Life Recap

Thu Dec 10, 2009, 1:54 AM
So. Since I moved into my new place at the beginning of the term I have been living a fairytale. Consequences of this is that I have neglected my studies and in turn failed two of my 6 courses this semester (what was I thinking)? This is all good and dandy and easily remedied. I've always been one to calmly get through stress and think logically. I will still move on to second year as I have already made plans to retake those courses (woo hoo) and I should be fine. I just have to break the news to my ever understanding parents (might as well throw me into an asylum now)

Already thinking ahead in my life as I always do, after second semester I will need to find some work. As I don't have anything going on in my life I am planning on picking up a full job for the 4 months and a summer camp job for 8 weeks (Working two jobs for 2 months should be interesting) I WILL have a break in the middle. My cousin is happily getting married so I will be off to Poland for 2 weeks with family.

Some of you guys may not know this, but I am a guider for Canada's equivalent of Girl Scouts. My guides are in the age range of 12 - 16. They are lots of fun to work with (couple times a month) and I am doing it with one of my best friends so, the camping trips are always entertaining. I also volunteer regularly with Engineers without Borders which is one of the most interesting organizations I have joined. We alternate weeks of "member learning" and "Gettin' 'er done" so it is both educational about global issues and productive. At the moment we are supporting many overseas volunteers and learning about the experience in some of our dispatch areas from returned members. One of whom visited us two weeks ago on his return here. He is only staying for a month or so before returning to the country he was in. It is definitely something I would love to do once I graduate (at the moment it seems so far away).

ART. Well, I have a ton of things to draw for the end of this month. The are currently being completed thankfully! Winter break is going to be a godsend.

OMG GLEE FALL FINALE. Its going to take forever for April to arrive T__T DOCTOR WHO.

EVER SINCE THIS WHOLE WORLD BEGAN
A WOMAN FOUND THAT IF SHE SHOOK IT
SHE COULD SHAKE UP A MAN
AND SO I'M GONNA SHAKE AND SHIMMY IT THE BEST THAT I CAN
TODAY, CAUSE YOU CAN'T STOP THE
THE MOTION OF THE OCEAN
OR THE SUN IN THE SKY
YOU CAN WONDER IF YOU WANNA
BUT I NEVER ASK WHY
IF YOU TRY TO HOLD ME DOWN
I'M GONNA SPIT IN YOUR EYE AND SAY
YOU CAN'T STOP THE BEAT

Calling all DA photographers: shutterfailure.com

Sun Oct 11, 2009, 9:20 PM
Anyone here a photographer? I don't know many personally on DA but I want to help get word around to people.

The developers of stackoverflow.com (a programming Q&A site like yahoo answers) have now decided to offer their site setup for other people to create their own Q&A sites for different fields. The cool thing about it that you will get people who know WHAT they are talking about answering questions.

[link] is the site my brother has created for photographers to quickly get answers to any question related to photography. Please, if you are at all interested, check it out. Post questions that you have and tell your friends. All we want is people to traffic through there so we can go around helping those who want some genuinely smart help.

Thanks (:

Devious Journal Entry

Thu Oct 1, 2009, 9:25 PM
Just watched the finale of Doctor Who Series 4 again. Bawled my eyes out like I do every time. T___T I just can't get over how much Donna loses in this show. She will always be my favourite companion.

Only 5 more episodes with David Tennant as the Doctor. Three of Doctor Who and two in the SARAH JANE ADVENTURES (love that show). And as sad as I am going to be missing my David, I couldn't be more excited for Matt Smith to take over with Karen Gillan (love her outfit)

I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THESE TWO AND THERE IS ONLY A FEW PICTURES ONLINE.

Don't mind me. Art up soon now that I am getting my life together (: First university midterm tomorrow and here I am wasting hours away watching TV. Hooray for productivity!

Everyone's doing it! Free Sketches

Thu Sep 3, 2009, 12:10 AM
I am already forming a list of 5 or 6 people I know will reply to this.

So here are the guidelines. First 10 people to comment on this journal will get a free sketch from myself. In return you must offer 10 sketches to other deviants through your journal aswell. I do not care if you actually do but share the love.

The List

No one ):

P.S Another week and I should have my computer back up and running. -cheer- Maybe with internet even haha. Oh yeah, my new house is great. Just back at my parents to pack the rest of my stuff. Update later.

Summer

Mon Jul 27, 2009, 5:58 PM
There are those days when its abnormally hot for your area of the country and you lose all energy to do anything. Today is one of those days.

So, on days like these I sit on the floor in front of my coffee table and laptop; listening to music and contemplating, contemplating how I feel about missing people. Everyone gets those moments where they miss someone so much that all they want to do is run up to them, give them a massive hug and say, "never leave my side again." It hurts when you know that will likely never happen due to unfortunate circumstances; circumstances that cut you off from the people who you most want to be with in the world.

Spring awakening makes things better (:
